Good Souvenirs from Japan

The Sulantra gang has some interesting ideas about what makes a great present from Japan. Japanese love to give gifts when they travel, but sometimes make inappropriate choices. Light and delightful, Sulantra gift ideas are inexpensive and foreigners love them. We know from firsthand experience. In Japanese with sub-titles. Enjoy!

A great place to visit in China

Don interviews Yoh about his favorite place in China. Funny enough, it turns out to be his home province, Sichuan! Yoh praises the food (it's not all hot) and exciting places to see, including the largest seated Buddha in the world!
If you are heading to China and hope to go where other tourists do not, check out this video - and think about learning some Chinese on Sulantra!

And, if you are a REAL foodie, check out this hour-long video for a great in-depth report on Sichuan cuisine. Yummy!! Even the locals are giving it rave reviews!

Bad Souvenirs From Japan

The Sulantra gang gives their ideas about what NOT to give as a present from Japan. Japanese love to travel and to give gifts, many of which are a poor choice. Heavy, breakable, expensive -- this video is based on firsthand experience! Everyone speaks in Japanese but, even if you don't understand, we think you'll get the message. Enjoy!

How to use Sulantra – Super Language Training!

Don explains how to get the most out of Sulantra, our exciting new language learning website. Sulantra courses are structured in a giant spiral that automatically recycles language making it easier to remember. When you learn with Sulantra, you should:

  1. study in short, frequent sessions (Once a week blitzes don’t work.)
  2. keep sessions to a maximum of 90 minutes (Any longer and your brain runs out of steam.)
  3. stay silent for the first two course levels (Gives you time to “pick up” the sounds of the language. Your accent will be more natural when you do finally speak.)
  4. keep moving (Don’t get hung up in one section. The language is recycled many times.)
  5. use the icons to get repetition, slower speed, meaning and more. (The key phrases included in each icon will help you manage your conversations in the real world!)

Who should use Sulantra – Super Language Training?

Don explains who Sulantra, our exciting new language learning website, is designed for. Sulantra stands for “Super Language Training” and the website is for people who need to function quickly in a new language.

Sulantra is an excellent first step to learning a language because we focus on functions – getting the job done. Unfortunately, for most people who have studied a language in school, the experience was a painful one. Our goal is to make language learning enjoyable and effective. We encourage users who are absolute or very low beginners, who need a flexible training format that allows for busy schedules, and who don’t want to break the bank. With Sulantra you CAN learn another language!
